Y’all, I’ve been using Wet Brushes for years. I love them so much that I refuse to use anything else post-shower now. They are true miracle workers — especially if you have super thick hair like I do. Note that they’re not meant for heat, though, so you’ll want to avoid using them for blowouts. Just a heads up.

I tried Scrubbing Bubbles next and it was the same. I was feeling so defeated. I did some research and bought Bar Keepers Friend. With a grade 0000 steel wool piece, it took me about two hours to clean a quarter of the window in my shower. My arm also felt like it was going to fall off. I was determined, so I researched more. Then, I found this stuff. I was so anxious that I cracked it open minutes after receiving it in the mail. I applied it to my grade 0000 steel wool and started scrubbing away. BINGO! It took me about 15 minutes to clean the same size section as I did with the Bar Keepers Friend. I'm not gonna lie, this stuff needs some elbow grease but it definitely works. It took off what seems like years of hard water stains. It does have a smell to it but it's not super harsh and totally able to withstand. This is going on my 'always available in my house' list! Note that this stuff works best on blond or other light-colored hair; if your locks are dark, some shades probably won’t be super bright on you right out of the bottle. The dark-haired folks among us will have to lighten things first to get something B O L D. (Source: Me; I have dark hair, and for a year or so I went blue — which was super fun and I miss it! — I had to lighten it before the blue went in. A color-depositing conditioner like this one worked wonders when it came to keeping the shade bright between salon visits, though!)

Promising review: "Holy cow was I surprised — the red one actually worked on my brunette hair! Granted it only worked on the length that had been previously chemically treated/permed (and had started to slightly lighten) so my roots are still definitely not tinted red, but I love the color! Product is BRIGHT red coming out of the pump so I was a bit concerned the first time I put it in that it would look super unnatural, but it turned out more burgundy in my hair and with a very slight purple tint — so perfect! Even looks like I purposefully added low-lights because my roots are still darker. I've tried adding it while wet and dry, wet definitely doesn't have as much of an effect (also noticed I used less product). It does start to fade after a while, but nice and quick (and so much cheaper than the salon) to add it back in! I have a lot of fine hair, so it might last me longer than others. So far I've only used just over half the bottle on two dry and three wet applications (waiting about 20–50 minutes depending how much patience I had that day). Wear gloves!! It'll stain your hands applying it, but my shower hasn't really shown anything from rinsing it out yet." —C
