AFTER getting fed up with the plain and boring bathroom she has in her council house, one woman took action to turn it into something she could be proud of.
Taking to the Facebook group ‘DIY On a Budget UK’, she shared before and after photos of the small space - leaving viewers in awe of her hard work.
In the before snap, people could see floors with multicoloured spots on it and simple white walls.
And while there were some elements of pink running through it, including a bath mat and some towels, it appeared quite basic.
Following some hard work though, she was able to turn it into a gorgeous space with optimised storage, too.
She placed vinyl tile-like grey floors to give it a more polished look and painted the walls in the shade Bohemian Raspberry from Wilko.
And though the floors and walls were the biggest projects in the transformation, the Facebook user also paid close attention to the details in accessories.
She placed a pink storage unit on one side and had a matching loofah and mat in the shower, too.
Keeping her pink bath mat in place, she also placed a pink basket over one side of the unit over her toilet.
Alongside a pink bin, she placed a pink razor holder, soap dispenser and toothbrush by her sink, completing the look.
“A lick of paint and some new vinyl flooring just to give it a little cheer up,” she wrote in the caption.
“We have just moved into our council house so trying to do things on a very tight budget.”
People were amazed at how different it looked thanks to the small changes she made and flocked to the comments to share their thoughts.
“Wow it’s made such a difference! It looks lovely,” one person wrote.
Another said: “What a difference a lick of paint and a new floor makes,” followed by a smiling emoji as a third shared: “Looks great!”
While a fourth added: “Brill, well done,” alongside a clapping hands emoji and a red heart emoji.
